  On August 7, 2019 the Marshfield Police department received a report of a stolen IPad.  It was reported an iPad was placed on the fence to the entrance of the playground.  The caretaker and the autistic juvenile were playing at the playground which is a short distance from the fence where the IPad was placed.  Upon the caretaker and the juvenile attempting to retrieve the IPad before leaving the area it was discovered that the IPad was missing. 

On August 8, 2019 Officers were able to identify a suspect and the suspect’s vehicle bearing Massachusetts Registration 542AB1 which was registered to a Nolan Redden.    Through further investigation Officers were able to identify Nolan and place him and his vehicle at the scene of the larceny. Furthermore Officers attained  footage of Redden taking the IPad and placing the device in his motor vehicle.

On this same date Redden was arrested at his home without incident at approximately 6pm.  Based on the defendant’ cooperation Officers were able to recover the IPad in a trash can located at Briteway Car Wash located on Plain St. in our town.  Redden  was brought back to the police station where he was  booked for Larceny Under $1200.  His bail was set at personal by BC Cabral.
