 Man Arrested After Sunbathing Nude Along Popular River Bank

 

Date: May 8th, 2023

On Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at approximately 5:00pm, The Marshfield Police Department received a report of a man sun bathing nude near the Rexhame Beach Parking Lot.  Upon arrival, Officers located Richard Wuschke 5/28/1957 of 987 West St, Mansfield MA sunbathing with his shorts around his ankles and his genitals exposed.  He was laying down alongside a commonly used path on the bank of the South River.  This path is commonly frequented by families, children, dog walkers and is also used for fishing.  The area was busy and several witnesses reported being shocked and alarmed after encountering Wuschke next to the river bank.  He was subsequently placed under arrest and booked at the Marshfield Police Station.

The was not the first time the Marshfield Police have dealt with Wuschke.  Marshfield Police had previously charged Wuschke with Indecent Exposure and Disorderly Conduct after a similar incident at Library Plaza in May, 2022 where he was observed wearing only a tee shirt and socks in front of a local business.

After his arrest on May 6th, 2023 Wuschke was released on bail and will be arraigned in Plymouth District Court on Monday, May 8th on the following charges:

MGL Ch 272, Sec 16: Open and Gross Lewdness
MGL Ch 272, Sec 53F: Disorderly Conduct
