Press Release: Local Man Arrested for Burglary

On September 25, 2020 at approximately 12:30am Marshfield Police responded to a 911 call from a home on Charlestown Street for a report of noises coming from the basement of the residence.  While checking on the noise, the elderly caller observed an adult male walk from the rear of the home, across the yard and down the driveway.

Upon arrival at the residence, officers found two open basement doors.  A Marshfield Police Department K-9 was requested and a K-9 track was performed.  At the end of the street officers located Edward Goodwin 06/23/1995 of 21 Charlestown Street, Marshfield.  Goodwin matched the description of the suspect.  An investigation was performed by Marshfield Police after which Goodwin was placed under arrest for the following charge:

MGL Ch 266 Sec 15: Unarmed Burglary

Goodwin was held on $25,000 bail and is awaiting arraignment at Plymouth District Court on Friday September 25, 2020.
