Marshfield Man Arrested For Intent To Distribute Cocaine, Mushrooms And Marijuana

On Monday, April 10, 2023 the Marshfield Police Department received a call about a disturbance and possible fight coming from an apartment at a local apartment complex.  Upon arrival, responding Officers spoke with Matthew Collins 07/24/1998 who stated he was alone in the apartment.  Due to the nature of the call, Officers entered the apartment with Collins’ consent to confirm there was nobody in distress inside.  Once inside the apartment Officers observed a large quantity of white powder consistent with cocaine, a large quantity of marijuana and a large quantity of psilocybin mushrooms, all in plain view.  In addition, Officers also observed evidence of drug distribution including baggies, a vacuum sealer, a scale and a large amount of cash. 

Collins was placed under arrest; his apartment was secured and a search warrant was obtained.  While serving the warrant, more narcotics, cash and evidence of drug distribution were located.

Seized was approximately three (3) ounces of Cocaine, over 8 ½ pounds of Marijuana, a large amount psilocybin mushrooms and $15,000 in cash.
