Convenience Store Armed Robbery

On March 12th 2019 at approximately 2:16am a masked man entered a local convenience store in Marshfield armed with a crow bar type weapon and demanded money from the clerk while threatening him with the weapon.  The individual fled with an undetermined amount of cash as well as merchandise.  

Follow up investigations by the Marshfield, Whitman and Kingston Police as well as Forensic evidence provided by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Massachusetts State Police identified 35 year old Tony Sinclair of 305 School Street, Whitman MA as the perpetrator. 

With the help of the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office an arrest warrant was issued for Sinclair as well as search warrants for his residence located at 305 School Street in Whitman and a vehicle which he was utilizing. 

On May 1st, 2019 Whitman Police observed Sinclair and a female companion exit his residence at 305 School Street and approach their vehicle.  Whitman Police approached the couple and placed Sinclair under arrest.  Whitman Police contacted Marshfield Police who responded to School Street and the search warrants were executed and further evidence was obtained.  Sinclair was subsequently arrested for:

-B&E Building Nighttime for Felony
-Armed Robbery while Masked
-Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
-Larceny Under $1,200.00
 
During the arrest Whitman Police further charged Sinclair with:
-Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
-Possession of a Class B Substance
-Possession of a Class C Substance
 
Sinclair was arraigned at Brockton Superior Court on May 2nd  and held without bail.
