Loaded Handgun Discovered on Traffic Stop

Date: January 12, 2021

On January 11, 2021 at approximately 8:30pm Marshfield Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Plain St (Rt139) near the Pembroke line.  During the stop, Officers discovered a loaded 9mm semi automatic hand gun containing 15 rounds of ammunition and an additional loaded magazine containing 15 more rounds.  The vehicle operator, identified as Anton Sprague 09/29/1994 of 340 Gifford St, Falmouth MA did not possess a license to carry a firearm or ammunition.  He was placed under arrest at that time.   

Bail was set at $500.00.  Sprague will be arraigned at Plymouth District Court on January 12, 2021.
