Recently several South Shore residence to include Marshfield have been receiving telephone calls from unknown individuals who claim to have kidnapped their respective family members in an attempt to extort money via wire transfer. Please be advised this is a SCAM, and you should contact the Marshfield Police Department immediately if you receive such a call. Do not transfer or wire any funds nor should you provide any biographical data to these perpetrators.
